Projects and Activities

Our Kiwanis club participates in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Additionally, we have speakers at our weekly meetings to explore topics of interest to the membership and to the Beaches community. We engage in a number of social activities to share experiences, talents and our collective interests. All represent great opportunities for service, friendships and personal growth.

Below are the projects and activities in which we are currently involved:

  • Annual Academic and Leadership Scholarships for Fletcher High School Students;
  • Fine Arts Scholarships to help students gain additional skills through private lessons in various arts.
  • Halloween Parties and "Christmas in July" field trips to ball games for homeless children housed at the Sulzbacher Center in Jacksonville.
  • Annual Thanksgiving dinner for young-at-heart seniors at the Jacksonville Beach Senior Center.
  • Assisting with other local organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, Gabriel House, the MS Society of Jacksonville, and other charitable groups.
